Heya everyone., howzit goin?

Things aren't so shabby here... been busy but in good spirits and happily at work on stuff I can't really get into detail about right yet, unfortunately. ;} Suffice to say, it's coming along slowly and surely but steady and quite aesthetically. I'm pretty pleased, it's a very different style than you've seen from me before and it's a great flex of the art muscles. It will be published upon completion, just needing to find a printer which I'm hoping will treat the project and my client right. ;}

Afterwards, I'm SO looking forward to diving in head-first to my tutorial book based off that Character class I taught over in Megatokyo for you peeps a while back. What you've seen with that lesson — involved though it was — is really only one chapter of eight or so for the book. And what I have in store is INCREDIBLY indepth and positively riddled with new artwork. Heck, I might even have enough for an art book once that is completed. So exciting!

I also have fantasy novel covers lined up for a published series, guest artist of honor at a con in 2009 and a few more bips and bops going on. When they come closer, I'll let you guys know more about it. Right now, they're months and months away, so I'm taking care of business on my front burners now, if'n ya know what I mean. ;}

Oh, I'm also going to be interviewed for a Gaming blog about some advice on the gaming industry and what artists need to have in order to be competitive. I'll be sure to link you guys to that when it goes up. Heheh, I still have to write answers to all the great questions they sent me!

Another art book has been published with some of my newer art in it, including work from Nightmare World and 9th Elsewhere. It's called Fantasy Art Now and it's published by Ilex Press. Beautiful work from artists around the world! Be sure to check it out in the book stores. I've got a double spread of one painting! :} Oh, that reminds me, I should put the list of books and magazines I've been published in back up. Sorry about that, some of you have been asking.

Finally, as I've mentioned on the homepage, I have artist alley tables! Yeah, I know, it's been a while. But I am bunking at Sakuracon 2008 from March 28-30th, and Emerald City Comic Con from May 10-11th, 2008. I'll be selling prints, including the limited edition Geishas as well as willing to take a gander or two at anyone's work who might want some industry advice. Please know I'm still minding the table, so I wouldn't be able to completely focus on it, but if you're up for a very casual looksee, I'm happy to critique portfolios to help any budding artists get a firmer foot into the art industry doorway. ;} If you want a more in-depth critique, please post in my forums instead, as I'll have more time to devote 1:1.

Quite the busy year! But things are happy and creatively challenging... just the way I like it. :}
